2012 INFR Tour Rodeos Kicks Off
The 2012 INFR Tour Rodeo Season kicked off with a great rodeo in
Fort McDowell, AZ.
Event winners included many past and current World Champions like
Joe Wilson, Britt Givens, Kassidy Dennison, Genevieve Tsouhlarakis
and Victor Begay.Victor won the team roping with his son, NFR
qualifier Derrick Begay. We hope to see Derrick competing at the INFR
in 2012.

Indian National Finals Rodeo Loses a Super Star
Talented INFR bareback rider Austin Janis, Rosebud
SD, was killed in a motor vehicle accident on Sunday
January 15, 2012 while returning from the Sand Hills
Stock Show in Odessa TX.
Austin recently won 2 of the 4 rounds and finished
runner up to the World Title at the 2011 Indian
National Finals Rodeo. In 2010 he finished 3rd, in
2009 he tied for the World Title but lost the ride off
and in 2008 he finished fifth.
Austin was very talented and consistently at the top of
the leader board. He was set on qualifying to the NFR
this year for the PRCA. He was with INFR World
Champion and traveling partner Jeremy Meeks at the
time of the accident. Jeremy is recovering from injuries.
The Indian National Finals Rodeo will miss his talented
presence in the arena and his smiling face everywhere
else. Our prayers go out to his family and loved ones.
