Diabetes Awareness Campaign

The Indian National Finals Rodeo (INFR) has taken a new approach in health awareness among our Native American people; not only in the rodeo arena, but outside of it as well. Throughout the year and culminating at the 39th annual INFR, the commissioners and staff have decided to continue promoting Diabetes Awareness because there are several rodeo athletes and fans that are affected by this disease. It is well known how diabetes disproportionately affects Native Americans. The INFR is supportive of those people and will be actively encouraging the prevention, detection and treatment of diabetes. INFR believes it is important that we all help fight this disease.
